Telling Our Stories / Animating Our Past:
A Status Report on Oral History and New Media
| view report |
|
Canada’s ability to succeed in the “digital economy,” or however we imagine our future, is tied to our ability to live and to work collaboratively. Humanities and social science researchers can offer policy-makers a people-centred and practice-based approach to technological innovation. Oral and public historians are particularly well placed in this regard, given that our work has long sought to both incorporate analogue and digital technologies into our research practice and connect people to their stories and those told by others. This report considers the emerging place of new media in oral and public history. |
