The first part will focus on Introduction to Oral history and to the Montreal Life Stories project. 
The second part will deal with ethics, and listening to survivors

COHDS  : Stories Matter Workshop  / Formation à Stories Matter 
Introduction to videodatabase software. Stories matter allows to clip, index and export audio and video recordings – and so it represents 
a real alternative to  transcription.This workshop is free and open to all. It is strongly suggested for affiliates who want to work 
with interviews in a collaborative way. The first part will be an introduction to Stories Matter and the second part will focus on more 
advanced features as collaborative work, how to instal it on a server etc.

COHDS  : Intro to Radio Production / Introduction à la Production Radio
This workshop will give you precious hint to do radio work. This workshop has been created thinking about affiliates who uses radio 
in their work or who want to make it accessible through podcast.

You will learn how to use a camera (regular and HD cameras), a mic and get some useful hints about framing or using the light  
This workshop is free and open to all. This training is requested in order to use our professional cameras, and it is strongly suggested 
for affiliates who wish to film interviews.

Introduction to video editing. You will learn to work on a video, clip it, add titles and some basic effects

COHDS / CURA : disseminating your videos on the web / diffision de vos videos sur le web

The way people make movies has changed dramatically with the democratization of digital technologies and internet. Anyone can now make a movie and have thousand of people immediatly watching it, from anywhere. With this workshop you'll learn how to put your video on the web; we'll also discuss on the theme of dissemination and ethics which is crucial when posting videos on the web.
