The COHDS hosts over a hundred university and community-based affiliates and offers over fifteen training workshops, seminars, round-tables, film screenings, exhibitions and other events every term. This rich research dissemination programme is open to all and benefits to a large audience. Under the Associate Director’s supervision, the Intern will be responsible for the Centre’s internal and external communications. Tasks will include: writing and disseminating the newsletter; adding and managing content to the new website (Drupal); updating and developing a media list; retrospective and current media monitoring; managing and feeding the Facebook page and Twitter account; writing press releases; interfacing with COHDS affiliates in order to help them promote their work; publicizing special events.
From September to December 2013, 1 or 2 days per week (flexible schedule); unpaid; can be credited.
