Self-care Workshop

Monday, February 17, 2020 - 15:00 to 17:00
Jodie-Ann Muckler

This event is part of Black Mental Wellness Week led by Black Perspictives Initiative.

Self-care workshop led by Jodie-Ann Muckler
at the Center for Oral History & Digital Storytelling, Room LB-1042, Library Building, 10th Floor, 1400 de Maisonneuve Blvd W.

Join Jodie-Ann Muckler as they lead a workshop on self-care and self-love. Developing full and healthy relationships with others isn’t easy. But, it becomes much smoother when we are aware not only of what we want from others and what we can give, but also what we want from – and what we can give to – ourselves. Using an intersectional lens, this session will be focused on discussing our needs as well as how we care for ourselves and others.

Jodie-Ann Muckler is a Special Care Counsellor and a Social Work student. They are most passionate about trauma, mental health and illness and creating safer spaces for QT/BIPOC (Queer and Trans / Black indigenous People of Colour). They are currently the Co-Director of the Community-University Research Exchange (CURE) at Concordia where they work to develop community-based research projects.
