Oral History at the Crossroads awarded the Clio-Quebec Prize from the Canadian Historical Association

The Canadian Historical Association has awarded Steven High's Oral History at the Crossroads: Sharing Life Stories of Survival and Displacement (UBC Press, 2014) the Clio-Quebec Prize for best book published on the history of Quebec. The book tells the story of the Montreal Life Stories project, a 7 year community-university research alliance based at COHDS that brought together a wide range of researchers, students, survivor organizations, artists, educators, and community members to work with the life stories of Montrealers displaced by mass violence. The project worked with these stories deeply, sharing them in online digital stories, radio programming, theatrical production, art installations, audio walks, pedagogical materials, and in many other ways. Congrats!
