Flash Forward Photovoice

A participatory photography project with Syrian refugee youth. Cameras are given to 11 young refugees, who arrived to Canada in February 2016, to document their journey of integration and their new life through their own eyes. These young newcomers are documenting their experiences through digital storytelling. We meet every two weeks to discuss the photos taken and through these discussions we can address different topics, such as going back to school, practicing religion, their first autumn, first holiday season, nature, architecture, etc.
