3rd Emerging Scholars Symposium on Oral, Digital, and Public History
Friday, April 1st, 2016 - 9h-17h30
The Centre for Oral History and Digital Storytelling at Concordia University invites graduate students to submit proposals for our third Emerging Scholars Symposium on Oral, Digital, and Public History.
This one-day event offers an opportunity to present work at any stage, to exchange ideas, and to connect with other researchers and creators.
We invite proposals that feature research projects in oral, digital, or public history, broadly defined. Students in related fields, including museum studies, education, documentary filmmaking, memory studies, new media art, sociology, anthropology, and others, are encouraged to submit proposals.
Participants may present their work in a variety of formats, including papers, Power Point, web sites, films, artworks, interactive workshops, mobile apps or performances. Each presentation will be limited to 15 minutes, followed by time for questions and discussion. The symposium is bilingual; presentations may be in French or English.
Submit a short abstract (250 to 300 words) and a C.V. to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please indicate in the object of the message: «Submission – 2016 Symposium».
The deadline to submit a proposal is January 10th, 2016.
